Clear Cache & Data in Google Chrome on Windows

This document explains how to clear the cache and cookies in Google Chrome before starting a Serving Alcohol course.

NOTE: To quickly get to the setting, on any Google Chrome webpage, select CTL+Shift+Delete

  1. Click on the settings icon in the top right of the address bar. In Google Chrome, this appears as three vertical dots; in older versions, there will be three horizontal lines or a wrench icon.
  2. From the menu, select More ToolsClear browsing data….google-chrome-three-dots
  3. Check the following:
    • Browser history
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files
      *** Be sure to select the optional time range: All time

    Be sure to choose All Time in the Time Range drop-down box.
    Don’t check to clear your passwords; you want to keep those.

     

  4. Click on the CLEAR DATA button.
    • After you clear your browser data cache, close your web browser.
    • Next, open the Google Chrome browser again.
    • Log in to the course from our homepage at servingalcohol.com
    • Click the Sign In button at the top of the page.
    • Enter your email address and password.
      (If you have a Gmail address, click the Google Login button and enter your Gmail password).
    • After logging in, click on the course name in dark red.
    • On the next page, click on the Enter button.
    • Select the Last Visited Page button to return to where you last left the course.
